Pros & Cons

  • The culture is fantastic. There is a great emphasis on being taught deep technical skills and the other people in my team are always happy to answer questions and put in a little extra time training you so you understand the task and where it fits in the greater picture, not just so you can get it done.
  • Good social atmosphere, mentoring. Lots of teamwork, working in multiple teams - many development opportunities. Being able to learn from team members with a wealth of experience as well as learning some tips and tricks from them
  • Leading CA firm with great social activities, perks and support.
  • Great people at the firm who are willing to help and teach you along the way.
  • The nature of professional services and advisory is that there are really busy times and really quiet times. The fluctuation in workload can make it difficult at times.
  • Nothing too bad!
  • I wouldn't say it's the worst thing, but the least favoured is traveling time.
  • Travel time to the city

Employees are given a day in lieu to go and volunteer at a partnered charity FareShare. You can work in the kitchen or in the garden harvesting fresh produce. Great for team building and giving back to the community. The Firm takes on CSR clients.

I thoroughly enjoy my work. It is engaging and challenging. At times the challenging nature can be overwhelming but there is always someone to ask about what to do. A lot of time is spent looking at tax - which is actually much more interesting than it sounds. Some broad responsibilities include: preparing tax returns, preparing financial statements, end of year tax planning.

Office Work Environment
The company's office space is new and modern with every desk being stand-up. There is a cafe within the office just for Pitcher Partners staff and a 'hub' area where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or lunch. The rooftop terrace is also a great place for after work drinks with a great view of the city.

Pay is very reasonable especially given the lack of experience graduates have at the start of their career, clear incentives to work hard straight away as progression quite visible.

There are countless amounts of training on offer and for me, I have felt as though it relates well to what we do.

There is flexible working arrangement to be able to WFH, flexible hours as long as contracted hours are hit during the week. Busy season may incorporate a few extra hours each week.

Quite good. The company has put a lot of time into implementing a keep cup system and places a high emphasis on recycling, especially with disposable masks.
