Career pathways at Pitcher Partners

Our student and graduate programs are tailored to help you:

  • gain a breadth of client experience
  • identify where you’d like to focus on deepening your technical expertise
  • build the foundations of a successful professional career.

Pitcher Partners works with many private and family-owned businesses across Australia. The owners of these businesses are inspired and invested in the future of their companies and people. As Australia’s pre-eminent mid-market professional services firm specialised in accounting and business advisory, you’ll have the opportunity to become part of the teams that help these businesses strengthen and grow every day. This opportunity is a core part of our culture and sets a clear path to leadership where you’ll be inspired and challenged to continue learning every day.

We invest in our people and provide education opportunities through post-graduate studies such as CA, CPA and other post graduate programs. To assist you in these studies, we provide comprehensive study support.

A graduate program with a difference

When you join the Melbourne firm’s graduate program, you will benefit from a comprehensive 24 month program that builds your breadth and gives you the opportunity to undertake three experiences across the different areas of accounting and business advisory within the firm.

Across each 8-month experience, you will have the chance to learn about a different area of the firm, build your networks, work with a variety of clients and build your technical knowledge.

At the end of the program, you’ll know exactly where and how you’d like to deepen your technical expertise as you set a plan for career progression and chart your pathway to leadership.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • The culture is fantastic. There is a great emphasis on being taught deep technical skills and the other people in my team are always happy to answer questions and put in a little extra time training you so you understand the task and where it fits in the greater picture, not just so you can get it done.
  • Good social atmosphere, mentoring. Lots of teamwork, working in multiple teams - many development opportunities. Being able to learn from team members with a wealth of experience as well as learning some tips and tricks from them
  • Leading CA firm with great social activities, perks and support.
  • Great people at the firm who are willing to help and teach you along the way.
  • The nature of professional services and advisory is that there are really busy times and really quiet times. The fluctuation in workload can make it difficult at times.
  • Nothing too bad!
  • I wouldn't say it's the worst thing, but the least favoured is traveling time.
  • Travel time to the city
