I am employed as an Assurance Associate completing external Audits. My role is to work with clients to ensure there are no material misstatements in their financial statements.
Throughout the year, we have regular ad-hoc tax advisory work, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), tax due diligence, ad-hoc requests and queries from clients, structuring, distributions to shareholders, etc.
The chance to shape global supply decisions and support major clients in securing their supply chains has been a challenging and fulfilling introduction to the world of consulting.
I deal with large, complex companies and it is great to get an insight into how they operate. Periodically I get the opportunity to visit certain sites and see the risk first-hand, which gives me a greater understanding of the scale of the type of risks I insure.
The coolest thing about my job at MCDB is helping clients navigate complex tax situations while also building up my tax knowledge in deductible expenses. I love it as it is something practical that can be applied to our lives.
