Get to where you need to be. Sooner

ANZโ€™s award-winning graduate programs are specifically designed to fast-track the career you have been working so hard towards. Youโ€™ll be in the express lane from day one as every graduate is hand-picked and hired to fill a genuine business need. Then when you cross the finishing line, a job will be waiting for you in an area of your choice - along with a healthy โ€œend-of-programโ€ pay rise.

Things move fast at ANZ as weโ€™re doing the important work that only one of Australiaโ€™s biggest banks with a global network can tackle. But donโ€™t worry, weโ€™re a nice bunch of people so you wonโ€™t be expected to have all the answers up front.

Instead, six monthly rotations will open your eyes to whatโ€™s possible at ANZ and whatโ€™s the best path for you to take. And the 18 or 24 months you spend on the program will be jam packed with learning and networking opportunities to set you up with the contacts, confidence, and expertise to turbo charge your career.

So donโ€™t delay, because our plans are big - and we want you right up front with us!

We have programs in a range of our divisions including our Communications team.

About the Communications and Public Affairs Program

Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) at ANZ is a partnership between communications, community and industry affairs that focuses on driving a culture of trust, integrity and character in an integrated way throughout ANZ and drives differentiation with respect to reputation, brand and community impact. CPA manages key external issues and relationships particularly those involving civil society, government, regulators, NGOs and others who play an important role in influencing our world.โ€ฏ

As a Communications and Public Affairs graduate you will part of an exciting team where you will get exposure to a broad range of topics across the bank. You will be part ANZโ€™s government, communications, community and sustainability teams, which aim to build relationships with stakeholders and the community, listening and responding to what matters to them.

About You

We donโ€™t know your name yet, but we do know that youโ€™re curious, smart, driven and already have some great life experiences under your belt. And that is exactly what we want, along with a mix of backgrounds, opinions, and disciplines to drive the bank forward and adopt our ICARE Values in all aspects of working day life.โ€ฏ

About ANZ

Thereโ€™s something special about being part of ANZ. From the moment you join us, youโ€™re part of a team working towards a common goal: improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers - and thatโ€™s big.

But itโ€™s not just our customer whoโ€™ll feel your impact. Youโ€™ll feel it too as you continuously learn, experience new things and get the support of a community to help you take the next big steps in your career.

We are just as committed to supporting our people and giving them the opportunity to develop a career. As one of Australiaโ€™s biggest banks, we have many opportunities in many locations. Joining ANZ is about starting a career, not starting a job and we encourage people to look for opportunities across our bank.

Supporting the wellbeing of our people is also core at ANZ which is why we cherish the people-first culture we are famous for and why the Australian Financial Review rated us the number 1 place to work in the banking and finance industry for 2021.

Being part of ANZ means working in a diverse and inclusive workplace where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated, creating a great place to belong. Weโ€ฏencourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself. If you are a candidate with a disability, let us know how we can provide you with additional support.

Note: Please only submit one application / apply for one advertisement for the 2024 ANZ Graduate Program. You will have the opportunity to also select a second preference of stream as part of the application form.

ANZ recognises the value of an inclusive and diverse work environment. We take pride in the diversity of our people and encourage applications from diverse candidates. Our recruitment decisions are based on the key inherent needs and requirements of each role and candidates are selected based on their unique strengths and characteristics.
